Cruising aboard 117-foot aluminum sailing yacht Venturosa, on the BC coast. Room and board while aboard - Private cabin with private shower and head provided, meals included.
Seeking person experienced in paint removal, fairing, aluminum surface preparation and marine coatings. Work involves identifying corrosion areas, removing paint and old filler, preparing aluminum for Alodine and epoxy coating, fairing and painting.
You would join us onboard (pickup location in Southern Gulf Islands area is flexible) and cruise, and the work would be done while underway and in various anchorages. An opportunity to cruise the BC coast while working aboard a unique sailing yacht. See www.venturosa.ca for info about the vessel.
Experience with aluminum vessels, Awlgrip, fairing compounds, and power tools preferred. Venturosa has all required equipment aboard. Contract work between $25-40/hr, depending on experience.
