The Together Against Violence Team at Community Services provides safety and support for those impacted by all forms of violence and trauma. We help our clients rebuild their lives and establish positive connections in the community by offering, advocacy and assistance with the justice system with non-judgmental emotional and practical support.
What does it take to be a Victim Service Worker in the Police Based Victim Services? You must have understanding and experience providing direct support services to crime and trauma victims, witnesses and their families.
The Police Based Victim Service Worker ensures continuity of services by supporting the program Lead with the daily operations of the Victim Services office. The Worker also provides direct support services to crime and trauma victims, witnesses and their families by providing crisis intervention, emotional support, information and referrals at the scene or by phone.
