The Child and Family Counselling Team at Community Services provides support and counselling to families with children throughout our community. We are looking for a new member to join our team.
To be a Family Support Counsellor is to be a generalist with a wide toolkit to draw upon in order to support the multiple needs of families and their children. It means working from a client centered, strength based model rooted in an understanding of anti-oppressive practices and inspired by a strong belief in growth and change for the better. It means having exceptional communication and assessment skills along with the ability to engage in and model healthy relationships. A competent skill level in working with couples issues and co- parenting is essential to this position.
