Bushido/節童 is a relatively newly formed ‘Japanese Musical Instrument Duo’ based in Vancouver and surroundings by very experienced musicians. We play a variety of Japanese traditional musical instruments, such as Taiko/太鼓, Shakuhachi/尺八, shinobue/篠笛, Sanshin/三線, Shamisen/三味線, etc. and play Japanese old folk songs/民謡 in our original arrangements and original songs as well. We love to include audience with call and response, love to teach how to play Taiko and Shamisen during the show.
We can travel anywhere in BC for the flat rate and can offer the Workshops as well. This is a very educative show and kids love it. We can arrange ‘Taiko workshop for adults’ as a team-building activity as well.
