Edooby.ca is looking for a Social Media Marketing Expert, with real passion for what we do. The ideal candidate is fully committed to supporting the vision and growth of Edooby.ca Marketplace in our mission to bring on new buyers and businesses.

We're a startup that launched April 20, 2019. That's right. We launched at 420 Vancouver, BC-- One of the largest cannabis events in the world.

This is the first dedicated Social Media Marketing role in our company, which means you'll need to bring great knowledge and insights to help us in achieving our core goal: To help connect small, medium and large businesses with buyers-- helping them both achieve success.

You are a top-tier social media marketing expert who will provide recommendations based on your professional experience, industry best practices and current trends on what needs to get done and why, resources needed, strategy and execution.

You're highly communicative and you'll advocate for the best practices to achieve success. You also need to be highly creative to get through the cannabis barriers on social media to create organic growth, as we're not allowed to boost our content.

Most importantly, you are pro-active and have the 'owner mindset', as you will be the person responsible for an important role: Getting in contact with clients through our social media channels, and bringing them to our platform.

Knowledge on Canadian cannabis regulations may assist with planning, as cannabis is still a grey area and needs to be handled carefully.

This is a great opportunity with plenty of space for growth, as we are still small, and you will report directly to the CEO and CTO of the company.

We are a privately held company based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Compensation will be on an hourly rate on a freelancer contract to start, with permanent roles as we grow.

This is a remote role and open to all locations. But you must have strong communication skills (Fluent in English)

Act responsibly using best practices, own what you are doing, clearly communicate your steps and reasoning
Experience in creating content for Instagram and Facebook
Pro-active, self-starter, creative, dedicated, possess a growth mindset
