We are looking for a Quality Control Technician for a 3+ month onsite contract in Sechelt, BC. This is a hands‑on, entry‑level friendly role suited for someone eager to learn laboratory testing and quality control in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
You’ll support sample collection, testing, and reporting while working closely with experienced team members and the Supervisor. The role includes a combination of laboratory work and onsite field activities, including driving a company vehicle and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The successful candidate will be required to lift up to 20kg.
Rotation Schedule (ideally ok with all, but can be somewhat flex): 630am-230/8am-4pm/2pm-10pm/3pm-11am. The hours per week can fluctuate from 32-40 hours per week with some overtime/weekend work on occasion.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and test production and customer product samples
Support laboratory testing and analysis to meet production deadlines
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and vehicles
Accurately record, interpret, and report test results
Work with the Supervisor and team to identify and resolve quality‑related issues
Balance indoor laboratory work with onsite field activities
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Willingness to learn laboratory software and testing equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Clear and effective communication skills
Confident and safe driving ability
Willingness to work a flexible or rotational schedule, including occasional weekends or overtime
Must be able to lift up to 20 kg and work comfortably on stairs and at heights
