We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Full-Time General Maintenance Worker to join our team in Gibsons. This role is ideal for a versatile "jack-of-all-trades" who enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks and takes pride in keeping properties clean, safe, and well-maintained.
You will be responsible for day-to-day upkeep, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs across our local properties and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
General Repairs & Upkeep: Perform routine property inspections and handle basic mechanical and structural repairs.
Surface Preparation & Painting: Undertake interior and exterior painting projects, including drywall patching and touch-ups.
Power Washing: Regularly clean walkways, building exteriors, and parkades to maintain high standards of curb appeal.
Grounds Care: Assist with debris removal, basic exterior maintenance, and ensuring safe pathways.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in general building maintenance, handiman work, or residential/commercial property upkeep.
Proficiency with a wide variety of hand and power tools (including commercial pressure washers).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina required for lifting, bending, ladder work, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent time-management skills and reliability.
Preferred Skills (Asset, but not required)
Basic understanding and experience with minor electrical troubleshooting (e.g., replacing fixtures, bulbs, or switches).
Basic understanding and experience with minor plumbing repairs (e.g., clearing clogs, fixing leaks, or replacing faucets).
