Job Description
We are a small residential construction company looking for a motivated Carpenter/construction worker who is eager to learn and willing to assist with all aspects of single-family residential construction, from foundation work through to finishing.
This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who wants broad hands-on experience and to work directly alongside an experienced builder. You’ll be involved in every stage of the build, not just one repetitive task.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with all phases of residential construction, including:
Foundations and concrete prep
Framing and structural work
Building envelope (sheathing, air/vapour barrier, insulation)
Interior work and finishing
Use and maintain hand and power tools
Follow drawings, instructions, and site direction
Keep the job site clean, safe, and organized
Support senior carpenters and take initiative on tasks as skills develop
Requirements
1–3 years experience in residential construction or strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Interest in carpentry and full-scope home building
Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of construction work
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors year-round
Safety tickets (First Aid, WHMIS) are an asset but not required
