We are seeking a caring, responsible, and reliable person to provide Home Share support for an adult male with developmental disabilities/autism under a Reverse Living arrangement.
The individual lives in his own resident house on the Sunshine Coast. The successful provider will have a private bedroom in the home and share common living areas.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide a safe and supportive home environment
• Assist with meal preparation and healthy daily routines
• Encourage and supervise personal hygiene and housekeeping skills
• Support participation in community activities and recreation
• Assist with shopping, appointments, and transportation
• Promote independence and quality of life including finding a job
• Maintain communication with family and service providers
Requirements
• Valid BC driver's licence and safe driving record
• Patient, reliable, and respectful personality
• Experience with developmental disabilities, autism, caregiving, healthcare, education, or community support is an asset
• Criminal record check and references required
Compensation
• Home Share compensation approximately $2,460 per month (subject to agency approval and final agreement)
• Private furnished bedroom provided
• Community Inclusion services are already in place, providing additional daytime support during the week
• Family support is available on weekends and during planned respite periods
Additional optional paid opportunities may be available depending on the applicant's interests and qualifications, including delivery assistance, family business support, and sales support for biotechnology and molecular pathology products.
